Eric Hosmer Finishes 0-For-4 in Padres Debut
7 years agoIn his San Diego Padres debut, first baseman Eric Hosmer went 0-for-4 with a walk in the Opening Day matchup against Milwaukee. Outside of the 11th-inning walk, Hosmer had two groundouts — one for a double play — and two strikeouts in the win. While it wasn't the way owners would have liked for Hosmer to start the season, there's absolutely no reason to panic here. Hosmer hit .273 with four home runs and 13 RBI this spring, and he should have no problem this year matching his .318 average, 25 HRs and 94 RBI totals he put up last year with Kansas City.
