Luongo carried a shutout through 46 minutes in the game and surrendered just one goal while making 39 saves. The Canadian goalie has been excellent with six wins in seven games since returning from injury, maintaining a 2.57 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage this season. The Panthers now hold the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference after the win, and Luongo’s performance has been a key aspect to their rise in the standings.
