Ervin Santana Will Have To Wait To Have Cast Removed
7 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Ervin Santana (finger) will have to wait to have the cast removed from his right hand. Santana had surgery on the middle finger of his pitching hand in early February and is expected to miss around 10 to 12 weeks as he recovers. He was originally slated to have the cast removed on Friday, but snow in the New York City area prevented him from traveling. He is now expected to have the cast removed on Monday. Santana turned in a solid season in 2017, posting a 16-8 record, 3.28 ERA and 167 strikeouts in 33 starts in 2017. He won't have much fantasy value early in the season due to him being on the disabled list.
