Jarvis Landry Given Permission To Seek Trade
7 years agoThe Miami Dolphins have given wide receiver Jarvis Landry permission to seek and facilitate a trade, according to a league source fully briefed on the situation. Landry plans to sign his franchise tag, which is necessary before he can be traded. The team informed Landry's agent, Damarius Bilbo, that they won't be making Landry a long-term contract offer at the NFL combine on Thursday. If he's not traded, Miami said they'd be comfortable with Landry playing on the $16 million franchise tag in 2018. Landry led the NFL in catches in 2017 and holds the league record for most catches over his first four seasons with 400. While Landry was a beast in PPR leagues again in 2017, he also set a career high with nine touchdowns. He can be a solid asset in PPR leagues, but he could easily be a disappointment to fantasy owners next year, depending on where he lands. His expected departure in Miami is good news for DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills.
