Zach Britton Will Be A Big Question Mark In 2018
7 years agoZach Britton, who will likely miss at least the first half of the season after rupturing his Achilles heel during an offseason workout, is not far removed from being fourth in the American League Cy Young voting and being just outside the Top 10 in the MVP conversation. He did battle an assort of injuries last season, and it's going to be anyone's guess how effective he'll be once he returns... but having an injury involving an area that's involved in pushing off or landing during a pitching motion is a risky one. He could become a top-flight closer again or he could get hurt again. That uncertainty is why he is ranked No. 306 - take him late and stash him on the DL. That would be the low-risk, high-reward move.
