Noah Syndergaard Ready To Return To Form
7 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard is back, and he’s ready to rock. Drafted very high in fantasy circles in 2016, Syndergaard unfortunately was a letdown due to a lat injury that cost him a tremendous portion of the season, limiting him to 30.1 innings pitched. According to Syndergaard, though, he focused too much on strength training to increase his fast ball velocity last year (despite already averaging the highest fastball velocity in baseball), and didn’t spend enough time on staying limber and agile. We’ll take him at his word for it. There’s no doubt if Thor’s health is as good as it sounds, he’ll easily finish as a top 10 starting pitcher with top five potential. He’s only two years removed from his first full Major League season when he put up a 2.60 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 10.09 K/9, and 0.89 BB/9. Syndergaard will likely be in the Cy Young conversation come this Fall.
