BALLER MOVE: Add In Deeper Leagues

ANALYSIS: Now in his third season in the NBA, Congo-born Emmanuel Mudiay is no longer starting, rather coming off the bench. In his new role, however, he’s thriving, leading the second unit, averaging nearly 12 points per game, an improvement on last year. Still only 21 years old, Mudiay is convincing many that he isn’t a bust after all, averaging 3.5 rebounds per game, which would be a career high for these upstart Denver Nuggets.
While his not starting may be a danger sign for many, his leadership off the bench has made him a viable asset. Before his effort on Tuesday, Mudiay had scored at least 15 points in five of his previous six games, while his assists per game this month is up to 4.8, over two more per game than last month. Among those games is a 15-point, five-rebound, seven-assist effort against the Golden State Warriors in a loss this past weekend. Simply put, Mudiay has managed to carve out his role on this young Nuggets squad and so far it appears to be working quite well. Those in deeper leagues should not hesitate to add him and watch him provide solid fantasy performances.
