Analysis: As the NFL Draft approached, there was word buzzing that Coleman had a great opportunity to be the first wide receiver selected. The Browns were set on moving around on draft day, and ultimately they selected Corey Coleman with the fifteenth pick in the draft. He was the first of many wide receivers taken by the Cleveland organization, as they were set on using their new “Money Ball” strategy in this draft.

Coleman will be the number one receiving option for the Browns from day one. He’s an electric player and has the ability to score from anywhere on the field. It looks like Josh Gordon won’t be returning to the team any time soon, which means Coleman will be force fed the ball, as the Browns are going to get the ball in his hands any way possible. It’s looking like RG3 is going to be the starting quarterback, and luckily for Coleman, he has a great deep ball. The only real knocks on Coleman are his size and his college experience. At Baylor, Coleman only ran a few routes, and it may be difficult for him to learn all of the NFL routes in his first year. Still, he’s an extremely high upside wide receiver in re-draft leagues.

As good as Coleman’s re-draft outlook is, his dynasty outlook is significantly better. He has all of the physical tools, aside from size, to excel as an NFL wide receiver, and he’s only going to develop his route running as his career progresses. Coleman was elite at Baylor while running only a few routes, and it will be interesting to see what he can do once he has multiple moves to beat a defender with. He’s an elite rookie in re-draft leagues, and I like him even more in dynasty leagues. Coleman will be a multi-time Pro Bowler in his career.
