Analysis: Michael Saunders has gotten off to a mind-blowing start especially when considering the offensive company he keeps in the clubhouse. Saunders has started off the year with four HR and a fantastic slash line of .301/.383/.542. Saunders's success at the plate has been very well spread out too. He has a .918 OPS at Home and a .932 OPS on the road this season and he is currently producing a .859 OPS against RHP and a 1.077 OPS against lefties. There isn't too much data to explain his phenomenal start other than the fact that he has produced a great isolated power figure of .241 and an XBH% of 12.8%. Whether we can pinpoint the cause of his hot bat yet, Saunders is hitting for major power and average and he is doing it against every pitcher and in every city that he has been pitted against in 2016. With this level of performance, Saunders shouldn't be available in 77% of leagues for long.
