BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jonathan Schoop was a popular sleeper in deeper drafts this season, but has not yet delivered what fantasy owners were hoping for. Schoop has hit 16 and 15 HR respectively over the past two seasons. Decent output for a second baseman as it is, but that figure is especially impressive considering he only made 321 PA last year and 481 the year before.
Now a full-time starter in what is proving to be a potent Orioles offense, Schoop could see an increase in his fantasy stock value. What remains to be seen is whether or not Schoop can maintain a passable average along with that power. Schoop currently has a line of .210/.246/.419 with three home runs and eight runs batted in. Despite the slow start, the homers will come, although likely at the expense of average. His power potential at a middle infield spot cannot be ignored. All told, Schoop should finish the year as a top-10 value at 2B and should be owned in all leagues.
