Steven Souza displayed strong power and speed in his first year with the Tampa Bay Rays. In 373 at-bats, he posted 16 home runs and 12 stolen bases, but struggled to get on base consistently. He finished the season with a .225/.318/.399 slash line and an outrageous 33.8% strikeout rate, the third highest among players with least 200 plate appearances. He has had a low on-base percentage and a high strikeout rate all throughout the minors, so it likely had nothing to do with adjusting to major league pitching. His counting stats make him appealing in points leagues, but outfield is so deep that there should be plenty of safer options with similar potential. Souza is a borderline OF4, and should be left for deep and AL-Only Leagues.
