The Pittsburgh Steelers enter Week 7 with a good matchup against an average Kansas City Chiefs defense. The Steelers are now starting third string Quarterback Landry Jones, who took over for the injured Michael Vick in last week's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Jones looked impressive in his debut, throwing for 168 yards and two touchdowns, while leading the Steelers to a victory over a very good Cardinals team. Both of Jones' touchdown passes were to Wide Receiver Martavis Bryant, who made his debut after serving a four game suspension and dealing with an injury during weeks five and six. Bryant finished with six catches for 137 yards.
With Roethlisberger and Vick both still dealing with injuries, Jones is now the man for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While we didn't get to see Jones for a full game last week, he did look good for the limited time he had last week and made some good throws against a tough Cardinals defense. The Steelers have a decent matchup against the Cheifs, who gave up 269 yards and a touchdown against Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings last week.
What's really enticing about Jones and Bryant this week is their low price tags, with Jones valued at $5,100 and Bryant valued at $4,700. They are both good value plays in DFS this week and can save you money to target stars at other positions. They are also good bye week fill ins in standard fantasy leagues, with Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver and Green Bay all on byes. The success of Jones will be limited as Ben Roethlisberger is expected back soon, but Martavis Bryant should be a solid WR2 for the rest of the season barring injury or additional suspension.
If you own Jones or Bryant in fantasy or play DFS, consider starting these two against the Kansas City Chiefs. They displayed great chemistry last week against the Cardinals and they both have very affordable price tags in DFS. I like for the duo to combine for around 40 points this week.
