Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta could be announcing his retirement any day now. He has told ESPN that if he is unable to return this season due to his hip injury, he will likely retire.
"I would like to think that if I can't make it back this year, what's going to change next year?" Pitta said. "For me, in my mind, I'm working to get back this year. If I can't, that might be it."
If Pitta was healthy, he'd be a low-end TE1 in all fantasy football formats. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like he'll ever be healthy. He's not worth owning in any fantasy football leagues, but keep an eye on his status. If it sounds like he'll be able to play, he'll be worth an add off of the waiver wire.
