Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer will start Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Houston Texans have gone back and forth between quarterbacks Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallet, but it appears Hoyer has earned the spot for the time being.
In Hoyer's last two games, he has thrown for 544 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Hoyer has done a nice job moving the ball downfield and limiting his turnovers. Hoyer enters Week 6 with a nice matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are giving up approximately 247 passing yards per game this season. It also doesn't hurt being able to throw to a guy like DeAndre Hopkins, who is leading the league in receiving yards this season with 578 yards.
If you have a top-tier fantasy quarterback like Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady, I'm not suggesting playing Hoyer over those guys. What I am suggesting is to play Hoyer over guys on struggling offenses like Ryan Tannehill, or guys with tough matchups this week like Cam Newton. Hoyer should definitely warrant a start in two-QB leagues and is a bargain DFS play this week for $5100.
