Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin rushed 24 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns while catching three balls for 35 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Martin was unstoppable in the red zone, taking three of his touches for scores against a Jacksonville defense that struggled against the run all day.
This was Martin's second big game of the year, as he rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers last week. It appears that the brilliant Doug Martin we saw in 2012.
Martin's fantasy owners have to be pleased with his play lately. Martin was considered an early-season candidate for bounce-back player of the year by many, and those who invested in him are reaping the benefits.
Martin has a favorable schedule moving forward with games against Washington, Atlanta, Dallas and Chicago left. Don't expect Martin to go nuts every week, but he should be started every week and finish as a top-20 running back.
