Offense to Target for DraftKings Stacking
St. Louis Cardinals LHB vs Kyle Hendricks
As left-handed batters, the St. Louis Cardinals hold a top five offense against right-handed pitching, with a wOBA of .388. Matt Carpenter looks to be a lock for production, while Jason Heyward and Kolten Wong should be great value picks against opposing pitcher Kyle Hendricks. While Hendricks may have ended the year strong, he should still be viewed as an inconsistent pitching option.
DFS Starting Pitcher to Consider for DraftKings
Jaime Garcia (SP, STL) - $9600
Jaime Garcia should definitely be one of your two picks for Saturday. Hendricks could easily be lit up, while rostering both Syndergaard and Greinke could be detrimental to your offense. Garcia has a great matchup, as the Cubs hold a bottom ten offense against left-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 89.
DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings
Justin Turner (2B, LAD) - $3600
Justin Turner should be a great value pick as he faces opposing pitcher Noah Syndergaard at home. On the season, Turner holds a terrific wOBA of .390 against right-handed pitching. His price tag is already quite low and comparable to other bargain bin options at the position. However, Turner provides a rare power potential that is really needed in your lineup with just two games on.
Matt Carpenter (3B, STL) - $4800
Matt Carpenter is a must-start against opposing pitcher Kyle Hendricks. On the year, Carpenter holds a wOBA of .394 against right-handed pitching. He has had an impressive display of power throughout the season, but has really dialed it up with 19 home runs in the second half. Also note that Carpenter is a career 6 for 10 with one home run against Hendricks.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings
Jason Heyward (OF, STL) - $3500
As mentioned earlier, Jason Heyward is another St. Louis Cardinal you should be targeting against opposing pitcher Kyle Hendricks. Heyward has also done very well against right-handed pitching this season, holding a wOBA of .358. He has been one of the more consistent hitters heading down the stretch, holding a .318 average since the All Star Break.
Michael Conforto (OF, NYM) - $3100
Everyone should get their own sleeper pick but I’ll advocate for Michael Conforto. He will have his chance to shine in the postseason against opposing pitcher Zack Greinke. It will be a tough matchup, but Conforto has hit right-handed pitching well since being called up. He holds a wRC+ of 142 against right-handed pitching on the year. Conforto might be able to catch a break against the Dodger ace, who has given up some sporadic home runs towards the end of the regular season.
