Most people would agree that former Cleveland Browns first round draft pick Trent Richardson is one of the biggest busts of all time, but that isn't stopping teams from giving him a chance. The running back, who also had stints with the Indianapolis Colts and the Oakland Raiders, is now getting a chance to earn a roster spot with Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills.
A few weeks ago it seemed like the Bills were stacked at running back with LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams, but injuries have taken a toll. McCoy may miss several weeks with a hamstring injury and Williams is currently in the league's concussion protocol. If neither player is able to go in week 5 when the Bills travel to Tennessee to play the Titans, Boobie Dixon would get the bulk of the carries.
If Dixon gets the nod against the Titans he is definitely worth consideration as a RB2. As for Richardson, just ignore this news. Even if he signs with the Bills he likely wouldn't be on the team very long. I'd expect him to get released as soon as Williams and McCoy are healthy.
