Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will not play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4. Luck has dealt with a shoulder injury he sustained in Week 3, and is apparently still bothered by it. He has been severely limited in practice all week, and what work he was able to get done was not enough to convince the Indianapolis coaching staff that he should be on the field.
With Luck on the sidelines, the entire Colts offense will take a big hit. T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief, and Andre Johnson all become much riskier plays, as it remains to be seen if 40-year-old veteran Matt Hasselbeck can move the ball against a capable Jacksonville pass rush. Hilton is likely lowered to WR2 status, and Moncrief will drop to WR3. Andre Johnson was likely not in most lineups to begin with, but with Luck out he should be on the bench in any format.
The Colts will have to rely on their run game, giving Frank Gore a boost in fantasy value. With an anticipated uptick in team carries, Josh Robinson actually becomes a fairly intriguing flex play in deeper leagues, as he may be able to find the end zone at least once and could catch a few balls as Hasselbeck checks down.
