San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis did not participate in practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury. He suffered the injury against the Cardinals on Sunday and missed most of the second half because of it.
Knee problems are never a good sign for any football player, especially an aging receiving threat like Davis. However, reports indicate that there is still a good chance he'll be able to go on Sunday when the 49ers host the Green Bay Packers.
Davis is not a recommended fantasy start even if he is healthy enough to go. You would be better off going with Maxx Williams who will see most of the snaps for the Baltimore Ravens now that Crockett Gilmore has been ruled out. Williams is a receiving tight end who should see plenty of targets from Joe Flacco.
