Hopefully Chris Johnson enjoyed his big week as the Arizona Cardinals starting running back on Sunday when he had over 100 yards and two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers, because he'll be back on bench duty next week. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians told the media following the game that Andre Ellington is expected back for the team's week 4 game against the St. Louis Rams, and he will resume his duties as the team's starter.
Ellington suffered a PCL injury in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints and has been held out of action ever since. Although Johnson had a great performance against the 49ers, he didn't do enough to steal the starting job from Ellington, who is a threat in both the run game and the pass game.
Ellington will have a tough matchup against the Rams, but he's still a recommended starter - especially in PPR leagues. Ellington may not find a lot of room on the ground against St. Louis, but QB Carson Palmer will look to take advantage of his receiving skills.
