A fantasy darling in the offseason after the Kelvin Benjamin injury, it's time for Funchess to show a sign of being able to be a usable receiver, or we may need to forget his name for the rest of the season. He's done virtually nothing up to this point, but head coach Ron Rivera said that he would receive more opportunities with the injury to Jericho Cotchery.
Cam is going to need someone to throw to aside from Greg Olsen and Tedd Ginn, so Funchess may get his chance to finally make a fantasy impact. He's only 28% owned currently, which seems fair, but if you're in a deeper PPR league you may want to stay ahead of the curve and stash him off the waiver wire before Sunday's matchup. If he has a nice game in Week 3, Funchess will become a hot waiver wire commodity and may cost you FAAB dollars to obtain.
