DraftKings DFS - NBA Fantasy Basketball Advice & Value Picks (2/27/15)

Below are some DraftKings DFS lineup picks for today's NBA action, February 27th, 2015. These players represent potential fantasy basketball sleepers based on their matchups, and can be strong DFS lineup plays based on their DraftKings prices and dollar values.

Keep in mind, DFS fantasy basketball is a fast-paced environment that includes last minute changes, so be sure to check NBA injury reports and your DFS lineups prior to tip-off.

Editors Note: for live banter about NBA DFS lineups and strategies, be sure to check out RotoBaller's famous fantasy basketball chat room at the bottom of this article.

Worth the DraftKings Investment

Russell Westbrook (OKC, PG - $11,000)

No Kevin Durant means more Russell Westbrook.

It’s an obvious play, but if you are to invest in one stud player for your lineup, Westbrook is the guy.

Two straight triple-doubles and a ridiculous video-game stat line average of 28.3 points, 12.0 assists and 10.0 rebounds over the last four games without Durant in the lineup.

Just slot him into your lineup and reap the benefits.

Derrick Favors (UTH, PF - $7,200)

Since the Enes Kanter trade, Favors has seen a slight uptick in production: 16.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals, plus 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks.

Now he gets a matchup with a reeling Denver Nuggets squad that has lost four straight and 10 of their last 11 games. The Nuggets have also allowed the most DFS points to opposing power forwards this year.

Don’t think twice: Favors has a favorable matchup.

Rudy Gobert (UTH, C - $5,800)

The stage has been set for the Stifle Tower to break loose.

In three starts since Enes Kanter’s departure, Gobert is averaging 9.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.7 blocks and 1.0 steals, translating to a healthy 33.83 DFS points per game. Even better: his minutes are trending upwards from 24 to 31 to 36 over the last three contests.

Hop on the Rudy Gobert train and enjoy the ride.

DraftKings Value Picks

Jeff Green (MEM, SF - $5,000)

In 15 games with Memphis, Jeff Green is averaging 12.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Hardly eye-popping stats, but Green has a favorable matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers, who have conceded the most DFS points to small forwards all season.

Four days ago, Green recorded 16 points, six boards, two assists and one steal, and drained three three-pointers for 29.00 DFS points.

Go Green.

Reggie Jackson (DET, PG - $4,500)

Reggie Jackson certainly got his wish.

A trade to the Detroit Pistons has given Jackson a chance to shine. In two games with Detroit, the Boston College product is averaging 19.5 points, 7.0 assists and 6.5 rebounds for an average of 36.30 DFS points per contest. It’s a small sample size in the Motor City, but it’s no fluke. In 13 starts with OKC, Jackson put up 20.2 points, 7.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds.

He’s more than capable of producing if given the opportunity.

Detroit now welcomes a New York Knicks squad that has allowed the fifth-most points to opposing point guards this season.

Take action with Jackson.

Aaron Brooks (CHI, PG - $3,400)

Another injury to Derrick Rose has opened the door for Aaron Brooks.

His stats as a starter (two games) don’t jump out at you: 12.0 points, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals. But he’s seen a slight uptick in usage rate in a bench role (25.6) to lead man (27.2). Brooks also gets a nice matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have allowed the third-most DFS points to opposing point guards this year.

In the first meeting between the two teams, the 6-foot guard totaled 16 points, five assists, two boards and drained three triples.

For the price, Brooks is well worth a look.
