ANALYSIS: Don't look at us like we're crazy for talking about the Cleveland Browns defense as a sleeper waiver wire pickup for Week 7. After a few up and down weeks it seems the Browns are poised for a nice three game run, with three very weak opponents. Best of all, they are a very available option as evidenced by their low ownership rate.
This week the Browns face off against the lowly Jaguars offense that has allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing defenses thus far in 2014. We don't particularly expect to see the trio of Storm Johnson, Denard Robinson or Jordan Todman running circles around anyone in the NFL. To make matters worse the Browns are riding high after two straight spectacular wins, and have started to look like a traditional ground and pound style club.
Cleveland surprisingly comes into Week 7 as a top 10 projected scoring unit, so we urge you to consider this sleeper defense waiver wire pickup that gets to face Jacksonville this week followed by the putrid Raiders and then the horrific Buccaneers.
That's about as easy of a 3 game schedule as any defense has had in 2014, so you want to be in position to potentially take full advantage.
Trust us when we tell you that you'll be earning some fantasy football kudos if this recommendation plays out the way we think, so make sure you have a backup bid set for the Browns defense in case your #1 steaming option for the week (the Buffalo Bills) isn't available anymore.
