Matchday 24 Recap
It was a weekend of near misses for us. Newcastle United's surprise home defeat against Fulham cost us a moneyline parlay. We also missed out on the total goals parlay by one goal in the Brentford versus Tottenham game.
Given some of the scorelines we saw, bagging two parlays would have been a minor miracle. Hitting one would have been hard enough. Hopefully, the week off will settle things down and we get back to some semblance of normality. A change in our fortunes wouldn't go amiss, either.

Brighton (+195) vs. Chelsea (+120) - 3:00 p.m. EST
Score prediction: Brighton 1 – 1 Chelsea
Although the starting lineups will be different on Friday, Brighton dumped Chelsea out of the FA Cup last weekend. Its 2-1 victory wasn't without controversy, though, with the Seagulls' win possibly being disallowed if VAR was in use.
Chelsea's form hasn't been great but it has only lost one of its five EPL games in 2025. Brighton's lost consecutive league games after going six without defeat, including a 7-0 hammering by Nottingham Forest. I expect another close game between these two, so lean into both scoring like last week.

Leicester City (+850) vs. Arsenal (-340) - 7:30 a.m. EST
Score prediction: Leicester City 0 – 1 Arsenal
Arsenal's injury crisis has worsened. It now has no fit senior striker and is missing its first-choice wingers. Leicester has blanked in three of its last four EPL games. Only Crystal Palace (11) has conceded fewer away goals than Arsenal (12) so far.
This feels like a "one nil to the Arsenal" game as it desperately tries to navigate this period. Liverpool dropping points in its midweek game might give Arsenal the boost it needs and we'll play both teams do not score as well as an away win.
🚨 Kai Havertz set to miss rest of season through injury. Arsenal forward suffered torn hamstring during training at #AFC camp in Dubai. Unclear if 25yo Germany international will require surgery but focus is getting fit for 2025-26 campaign @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/ItOTRkSsxI

Aston Villa (-250) vs. Ipswich Town (+600) - 10:00 a.m. EST
Score prediction: Aston Villa 3 – 1 Ipswich Town
Since losing its first home game of the season, Villa's been unbeaten in its last 11 games at Villa Park. Ipswich comes into the game on the back of four straight league defeats. It has also conceded 16 goals in its last five EPL games. We'll take a home win and at least three total goals in the game.
Fulham (+120) vs. Nottingham Forest (+240) - 10:00 a.m. EST
Score prediction: Fulham 1 – 1 Nottingham Forest
Forest's last two league games were a 5-0 defeat and a 7-0 win. Trying to figure out what it does next has not been good for my health. We'll play both teams to score, given that 10 of Fulham's 12 home games have seen a goal at both ends. And Forest's bonkers recent scorelines lend themselves to both sides scoring.
Manchester City (-135) vs. Newcastle United (+320) - 10:00 a.m. EST
Score prediction: Manchester City 2 – 3 Newcastle United
City suffered another setback in its Champions League defeat against Real Madrid. Newcastle will be looking forward to its EFL Cup final next month but will know this game will have big implications on Champions League qualification for next season.
I do fancy an away win, given recent results for both sides. The one thing we will almost certainly see is goals. City's last five EPL games have seen a total of 25 goals. There's been at least three goals in each of Newcastle's last five games. We'll take both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals in the game.
Southampton (+400) vs. Bournemouth (-170) - 10:00 a.m. EST
Score prediction: Southampton 1 – 3 Bournemouth
Southampton goes into the South Coast Derby on the back of just its second league win of the season. It has likely left it too late to stave off relegation and rivals Bournemouth will be keen to help send the Saints back to the championship.
The Cherries' 11-game unbeaten run was ended by table-topper Liverpool a fortnight ago. They beat Southampton in the reverse fixture, 3-1, and I expect a similarly comfortable win for the away side here. We'll take Bournemouth to win at the odds being offered.
West Ham United (+130) vs. Brentford (+185) - 10:00 a.m. EST
Score prediction: West Ham United 2 – 1 Brentford
West Ham has been showing signs of improvement under Graham Potter. But the results have yet to match that with just four points taken from his four games in charge. Brentford's form has been up and down and the Bees have only taken eight points from their last nine games.
West Ham's search for a striker resulted in the loan signing of Evan Ferguson. With Jarrod Bowen returning from injury, the Hammers look like they will be able to edge this game. We'll take the home side to win at generous odds, given only Southampton's won fewer points on the road than Brentford.
Will Evan Ferguson be a hit at West Ham as he reunites with Graham Potter?

Crystal Palace (-105) vs. Everton (+300) - 12:30 p.m. EST
Score prediction: Crystal Palace 0 – 0 Everton
David Moyes' return couldn't have gone much better. The thrilling draw in the Merseyside Derby means Everton comes into this game with a four-game unbeaten streak. Palace has only lost once in its last seven EPL games. Only Brighton (10) has more league draws than the Eagles (nine).
I expect this to be a close encounter. But regardless of the result, goals will likely be hard to come by. The 20 total goals in Everton's away games are the fewest in the league. Palace has only scored 11 goals in its 12 home games. We'll take under 2.5 total goals in this game.

Liverpool (-525) vs. Wolves (+1100) - 9:00 a.m. EST
Score prediction: Liverpool 3 – 0 Wolves
Liverpool will feel like Wednesday's draw was two points dropped. But it still has a healthy lead atop the standings and extended its unbeaten run in the league to 20 games. It'll need to regain its composure to avoid any upset after some ugly scenes at the end of Wednesday's game.

Wolves has faced five of the current top eight in the table away from home so far. It has taken one point, scoring three goals and conceding 12. It has conceded at least two goals in five of its last six away matches, so we'll play a home win and at least three goals being scored in the game.
Tottenham Hotspur (+135) vs. Manchester United (+175) - 11:30 a.m. EST
Score prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1 – 1 Manchester United
The most intriguing fixture is the last one of the weekend. If you told both sides at the start of the season they'd be in the bottom half when this fixture comes around, no one would believe you. That's why this game is such a tough one to predict.
Both teams have scored in Tottenham's last 10 home games. Only Brentford (29) has scored more home goals than Tottenham (27) this season, although it has conceded 16 goals in its last five home EPL games. United should have no problem scoring, so we'll just take both teams to score.
