Tage Thompson "Good" Following Sunday's Early Exit
2 mins agoBuffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson (upper body) appears to have avoided serious injury in Sunday's 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils. With 5:11 played in the third period, Thompson was elbowed to the face by Devils forward Stefan Noesen and could not continue the game. However, Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff told reporters postgame that Thompson is "good" and "passed all the tests." This means that Thompson should not miss additional time. Before leaving Sunday's game, Thompson notched one goal and two assists, continuing his recent scoring surge. He has tallied seven goals and 14 points over his past nine appearances. The 27-year-old has managed 48 points (26 goals, 22 assists) in 47 games for the season.
