Conor Garland Strikes Twice In Victory
2 days agoVancouver Canucks right wing Conor Garland scored twice in their victory over the St. Louis Blues on Monday evening. Garland opened the scoring in the first period with a tip-in goal. Later in the frame, Garland found the back of the net again, this time on the power-play. Garland added two penalty minutes, six shots on goal, and a +1 rating. This was a nice breakout performance for the 28-year-old as he tallied only one point (an assist) over his previous eight contests entering Monday. Prior to this stretch, he tallied five points (three goals, two helpers) over his last eight. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Garland to play on the third line, which will limit his offensive production. He is best left for deeper formats and will look to stay productive on Wednesday evening against the Nashville Predators.
