Xander Bogaerts 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Limited Upside In The Middle Rounds
28 mins agoSan Diego Padres second baseman Xander Bogaerts is looking to bounce back following a career-worst year in 2024. Bogaerts got off to a slow start last season and hit only .219 with four home runs and 14 RBI through the first 47 games. Then, he injured his shoulder in late May, which caused him to miss almost two months. But he was a more consistent fantasy option after returning from his injury in July. The four-time All-Star hit .299 with seven home runs and 30 RBI over his final 64 games of the season. Still, his .264 average, 11 home runs, 15 doubles, 44 RBI, 33.2% hard-hit rate, and 5.1% barrel rate were some of the worst numbers of his career. As a result, he doesn't have much fantasy upside in the middle rounds. He hasn't hit over 20 home runs in three consecutive seasons and hasn't stolen over 20 bases in a season in his career. So, he has a limited ceiling in both rotisserie and points leagues. RotoBaller has Bogaerts ranked 134th in rotisserie leagues and 119th in points leagues.
