Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) has now missed four games in a row due to an injury he picked up in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's unusual to see players miss this much time due to concussions, but the brain isn't fully understood by medical science yet.
Concussions are fickle injuries, and some can take far longer to recover from than others. NFL players come back before they're fully recovered typically, though. The brain isn't fully healed from this type of traumatic injury until long after symptoms have subsided.
When will Tillman be well enough to return, and what's his fantasy football outlook when he's back?

Cedric Tillman Injury Update
Tillman still hasn't cleared the concussion protocol, which is surprising, since he's now had four weeks to do it. Most players recover faster from their first recorded concussion of the season.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski: Cedric Tillman still making his way through concussion protocol.
Has missed last four games.— Scott Petrak ct (@ScottPetrak) December 23, 2024
We'll simply have to wait and see if he clears the protocol before Sunday's game, or wait for more updates from Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski regarding that. There's really no timetable otherwise, but we wouldn't be surprised if he's able to clear it by the end of this week.
Cedric Tillman Fantasy Football Outlook
Whatever upside he had with quarterback Jameis Winston running the show immediately evaporated when Winston was benched in favor of second-year signal-caller Dorian Thompson-Robinson (calf). Thompson-Robinson threw for just 157 yards and slung two interceptions and no touchdowns in Week 16, and despite attempting 34 passes, he was only able to complete 20.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson will reprise his role as the Browns key to the tank job this Sunday against Miami.
I’m sure the home crowd will be most pleased.
Early guess:
18-39, 139 yds, 0 TD, 3 INT pic.twitter.com/Ma05dKipeg— The Dawgs - A Cleveland Browns Podcast (@thedawgspodcast) December 24, 2024
And DTR is expected to start again in Week 17. Tillman has very little value -- the Miami Dolphins have a stiffer defense than the Cincinnati Bengals, who the Browns played in Week 16. And if the former UCLA Bruin couldn't perform well against one of the worst defenses in the league, he should have a tougher time against a tougher unit.
We're fading all Browns receivers until Winston becomes the starter again, if that happens.
