Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) has been on the injured reserve since suffering an MCL sprain during their Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
With only two games remaining in the season, Dobbins will need to turn in a successful week of practices to have a chance to return to action.
So will Dobbins play again in 2024 or is he out for the year?

Is J.K. Dobbins Out For The Season?
The top running back opened the week as a limited participant in his return to practice on Tuesday afternoon. Fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on his status throughout the week as he may only need one full session to be in a position to suit up on Saturday afternoon to face the New England Patriots.

Before the injury, Dobbins was shaping up to be a league-winner given his ADP during the offseason. During the first ten games of the campaign, Dobbins averaged a strong 15.7 PPR points per game. During this span he averaged over 80.0 total yards per game and found the end zone eight times.
Dobbins averaged over 17.0 touches per game was deployed as the clear workhorse of the offense.
While sidelined, Gus Edwards has taken most of the work with rookie Kimani Vidal operating as the change-of-pace option. After tallying under 40.0 rushing yards during his first three games as a starter, Edwards enjoyed a strong showing in Week 16 as he tallied a season-high 68 yards and two scores.
However, fantasy managers should expect Dobbins to return to his clear No.1 role when he is cleared for action.

During the final two weeks of the season, Dobbins will face two rushing defenses that are within the top 12 among PPR points allowed to opposing RBs. Dobbins would be a must-start RB2 in all formats if he can suit up for these games.
