Ozzie Albies Looks For Rebound Season In Atlanta
1 day agoVeteran second baseman Ozzie Albies will look for a return to form for Atlanta in 2025. Albies missed time with various ailments in 2024, with a fractured toe in April, and a broken wrist in July. When he returned from the IL the second time, Albies hit only from the right side. He finished the season hitting .251 with 10 home runs, eight stolen bases, 53 RBI, and 52 runs scored. When he was healthy in 2023, Albies put together a .280/33/109/96/13 campaign. At 27, there is good reason to think that a healthy Albies returns to a form that allows a .270 batting average with 20+ home runs, 10+ stolen bases, and 90+ runs. His current ADP of 55 puts him in the middle of the fourth round in most drafts and has him as the second 2B being selected behind Ketel Marte.
