With the Jaguars reeling from the loss of Lawrence, Thomas is left working with Mac Jones under center. Despite these challenges, Thomas has maintained his role as a key target in the team's passing game.
Jones isn't the greatest quarterback, but he's capable enough to hopefully keep the bottom from dropping out on the entire offense the rest of the way. Fellow wide receivers Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis are both sidelined for the rest of 2024, leaving plenty of targets to go around for Thomas.
Only goal for the rest of the year:
Get Brian Thomas Jr the Jags Rookie WR Record and give him 1000 yards

Thomas has showcased his toughness this year, playing through broken ribs and being serviceable enough to stay relevant. Heading into Week 14, Thomas should be best viewed as a low-end WR2 with upside against the Tennessee Titans.

Some other wide receiver options are available out there on waivers. Players like Elijah Moore (CLE), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (NO), and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (TEN) have all shown some serious upside of late, but they all feel like a worse gamble than Thomas at this point.

Here in Week 14, the Jaguars square off against the Titans and with six teams on a bye, the team just might not have the luxury of benching him. His knack for making explosive plays downfield give him the ability to find the end zone on any given touch, which is what we want for fantasy.
The loss of Lawrence likely limits his upside, but it would be surprising if anyone else led the Jaguars in targets the rest of the way. Thomas feels like a must-start given the circumstances.
