Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson (concussion) wasn't able to play in Week 12 after suffering a concussion in his Week 11 game against the Houston Texans. Ferguson isn't having a great year fantasy football-wise, but he's still been a solid option at TE in many leagues.
He's also an integral part of the Cowboys passing offense. Obviously, with quarterback Dak Prescott (hamstring) now out for the season, it's understandable that Ferg isn't having a stellar year. Still, it's worth keeping track of his injury status.
So will he play again this season?

Is Jake Ferguson Out For The Season?
It's unlikely that he'll be out for the full season. This is his first concussion of the year, meaning it's unlikely they'll pull him 0ut for the rest of the year. It may be a lost season for Dallas, but it's still valuable to let your players get reps and evaluate their progress. He remains in concussion protocol for now.
Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson is still in the concussion protocol, per Mike McCarthy.

It's not uncommon to see players miss at least one week due to brain injuries like this. So it wouldn't be surprising if he were able to suit up next week. There's always a chance that the team opts to be overly cautious and keep him out for longer, though.
It helps that Dallas won their Week 12 matchup in stunning fashion against the Washington Commanders. Though the team has a 4-7 record, they're getting healthier from a lot of injuries, and there's still a chance for a playoff push. Many on the coaching staff likely know that would be their best chance at keeping their jobs, too.
It's either Mike McCarthy .. Kellen Moore or Jason Witten

Head coach Mike McCarthy isn't about to throw in the towel. So we should see No. 87 back on the field soon.
