Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee) has now missed two games in a row with a knee issue that he picked up in Week 7. The team has sorely missed him in his absence, dropping two games in a row to the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams while he's been on the sidelines.
He's the team's clear No. 1 receiver, and his incredible athletic traits make him a nightmare matchup for opposing defenses. He's also been a steady presence on fantasy rosters,

DK Metcalf Injury Update
He's been dealing with an MCL sprain, which typically sidelines players for a few weeks. Fortunately, the star wideout is reportedly expected to return in Week 11, after the team's Week 10 bye. The by comes at an auspicious time, as it will allow their best playmaker to heal up.
Coach Mike Macdonald continues to say DK Metcalf is a week-to-week situation with the sprained MCL. #Seahawks’ hope is he can play after the bye at San Francisco is two weeks. @thenewstribune pic.twitter.com/vDLWnJpDMD

A three-week absence is normal for this type of injury, and while Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald has been coy about announcing an official return date, things are trending in that direction. Coaches don't want opposing teams to know when players will return until as late as possible. It's part of the game.
DK Metcalf Fantasy Football Outlook
He's a must-start, borderline WR1 when he plays. He's capable of putting together explosive games with his ridiculous combination of height, size, and speed. At 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, he's somehow a track star-level athlete, giving opposing defenses fits when he's running his routes.

Expect him to return to his usual role in Seattle's pass-heavy offense. He should resume earning between seven and 14 targets per game, and while he can be a boom-or-bust player, he can't be left on benches on fantasy football rosters.
While he has some target competition with wide receivers Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett, nothing will change his status as the clear WR1 when he's healthy.
