Frederik Andersen Out On Monday
3 weeks agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen (lower body) will miss Monday's contest against Vancouver. He was hurt in Saturday's 4-1 triumph over Seattle. Andersen collected his third consecutive win at the weekend, improving to 3-1-0 for the year. He has allowed 1.49 goals with a .941 save percentage. The team will go with Pyotr Kochetkov between the sticks on Monday, with Spencer Martin, who was summoned from the AHL, working as his backup. Kochetkov boasts a decent 2-1-0 record with a 2.70 goals-against average but has registered a lowly .896 save percentage this season. It could be a struggle for him against a team that averages 3.43 goals per game.
