Freddie Freeman Scratched From Game 4 Lineup
1 month agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman (ankle) has been scratched from the starting lineup for Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday at Petco Park against the division-rival San Diego Padres. Max Muncy will move from third base to first base, Enrique Hernandez will move from center field to third base, and Chris Taylor will draw into the lineup in center field against Padres right-hander Dylan Cease. Freeman has been battling an ankle injury since the final week of the regular season but had played in each of the first three games of the NLDS, going 3-for-11 with two strikeouts and a steal. He appeared to aggravate his ankle injury in the Game 3 loss on Tuesday and will sit out a must-win game for the Dodgers. It's a major downgrade to LA's lineup. Taylor is hitless in his only career at-bat versus Cease with a walk and a strikeout.
