Five weeks up, five weeks down. It seems like just yesterday that the season began, and now it is nearly 30% completed. Some teams have been quite thrilled with how their season has unfolded so far, and some are coming to grips with disappointment.
This week's Thursday Night Football game involves two NFC West rivals with both on recent downswings as the 2-3 San Francisco 49ers travel north to face the 3-2 Seattle Seahawks.
This piece will highlight the critical matchups and start time for Thursday night's game this week.

The Seahawks are currently leaders of the division but unfortunately have been the losers of two straight games. Geno Smith is leading the league in passing through five games thus far as the offense has been doing its job. However, injuries have ravaged the defense as they've allowed over 800 yards of offense in the last two games.
Their opponents are the talented, injured, and kind of tailspinning 49ers. San Francisco has struggled with injuries this year as their star running back, Christian McCaffery, highlights their injury list. Quarterback Brock Purdy has taken a step in the right direction as a pure passer, but the team has lost three of their last four and has turned the ball over eight times in those games.
When and How Can I Watch The Game?
Week 6's Thursday Night Football game is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. EDT.
The game will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. If you are not already a Prime Video subscriber, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial. If you are only interested in the streaming options, the going rate is $8.99/month, with a rate of $14.99/month if you want all services offered through Amazon Prime beyond video streaming.
Additionally, you can watch the game through the NFL+ app for $6.99/month. The downside of this option is that you'd only be able to watch it on a computer, phone, or tablet. If that is how you prefer consuming media, it is cheaper unless you opt for the 30-day trial of Amazon Prime Video.
Who is Going to Win?
The 49ers are a meaningful road favorite this week, as San Francisco is favored by 3.5 points over the home Seahawks team.

For the road 49ers to win this week, they must take care of the football. It seems like a rudimentary analysis nowadays, but that is truly the reason behind the recent 1-3 record for San Francisco. Over the last four games, the 49ers lead the league in turnovers with eight despite having the second-most time of possession in that span. San Francisco is the only team in the top 10 for time of possession in the last four weeks to have a losing record, and that's because their drives end horribly more often than any other team.

Without a win in the rivalry series since 2021, Thursday night may present the best opportunity yet for Geno Smith and the #Seahawks to finally beat their bitter rivals.https://t.co/NAFiWnF8H4

Seattle, meanwhile, came quite close to winning in Week 5 against the New York Giants before a blocked field goal was returned for a touchdown. The Seahawks offense will need to rely on efficient passing and rushing between Smith and Kenneth Walker III to pressure the undermanned 49ers offense. Seattle's defense has been quite bad in recent weeks, allowing 79% completion percentage to quarterbacks the last two weeks, so they must win with efficient offense on Thursday.
