ANALYSIS: After missing the first two weeks of the season, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs caught three passes for 22 yards in his Week 3 debut against the Bears. He followed that up with an even strong Week 4, as he caught eight of his nine targets for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Downs played 62% of the team's snaps in Week 4 as his role with the Colts continues to grow. His nine targets were tied with Michael Pittman Jr. for the team lead and while Alec Pierce outsnapped him, Pierce was targeted just twice.

It certainly appears that Downs has supplanted Pierce. Now, the only question is what the QB situation looks like in Indy, as Anthony Richardson exited Sunday's game with an injury and was replaced by Joe Flacco. Even with that clouding the picture, Downs should continue to see plenty of targets, regardless of who is under center.
