BALLER MOVE: Don't Add

ANALYSIS: While Houston Texans running back Cam Akers could see more usage for the Houston Texans at the position with both fellow RBs Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce dealing with injuries, Akers is coming off his second Achilles tear and is unlikely to make much of an impact.
Mixon is dealing with an ankle injury, but optimistic news has come out recently. His injury is not considered major or long-term, and he'll likely return sooner rather than later if he misses any time at all.

Mixon is the clear lead RB and the workhorse runner of this offense. He saw 72% of snaps in Week 1 (the game he was healthy for) and put up 26.8 PPR fantasy points, showing he still has the juice.
In addition, Pierce's hamstring issue is minor, and he is reportedly making a fast recovery.
#Texans veteran running back Joe Mixon ankle injury not considered long term or serious, per league sources.

Even if Akers were to start in case of both Mixon and Pierce missing time, it's hard to imagine he'd be fantasy-relevant unless he received a big workload, a lot of dump-off passes, or goal-line carries, and the Texans are more than capable of winning games with Stroud passing most of the time.
Akers is a low-end handcuff for Mixon and not much else at this point.
