BALLER MOVE: Start in all leagues.
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: Jordan Addison gave fantasy managers something to talk about last season. The sophomore wideout had a stellar rookie campaign, pulling in 70 of his 108 targets for 911 yards.
Even better, he found the end zone 10 times, more than anyone else on the roster. In all fairness, Justin Jefferson was limited to only 10 games due to injury.
Yet, fantasy managers were thrilled to receive more than anticipated from Addison. As a result, expectations have remained high for the 2023 No. 23 overall pick throughout the offseason, even after he was arrested in July for allegedly driving under the influence.
While a potential suspension for Addison remains possible at some point down the line, he is eligible to suit up for Minnesota’s Week 1 meeting against the Giants.
The 22-year-old suffered an ankle injury at practice a few weeks ago. But all signs are pointing to his availability versus New York.

However, does that mean fantasy managers should have Addison in their starting lineups? The Vikings offense has a different look this season, with Kirk Cousins now in Atlanta with the Falcons.
The club selected J.J. McCarthy in the 2024 NFL Draft. Yet, he injured his knee and currently sits on the injured reserve list.
Fortunately, Minnesota has Sam Darnold under center. Although he’s not the most consistent signal-caller, he’s certainly not the worst quarterback in the NFL.
With that in mind, Addison’s potential for Week 1 would have been higher had Cousins stayed on the roster. Still, Addison at least warrants attention from fantasy managers, so he should have a place in all fantasy lineups for the clash with a Giants defense that is expected to struggle this season.
