Tylor Megill The Favorite To Join Mets Rotation
3 months agoNew York Mets right-hander Tylor Megill is the strong front-runner to join the team's starting rotation in Paul Blackburn's (hand, wrist) spot, according to manager Carlos Mendoza. Megill's first turn in the rotation will come on Thursday on the road against the hosting Arizona Diamondback, which won't be ideal for deep-league streaming purposes. The 29-year-old has not pitched for the Mets since July 31 and hasn't started a game since July 27 against the Atlanta Braves. Megill hasn't been very effective for the Mets in his 10 big-league appearances (nine starts) this year, going 2-5 with a 5.17 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and a 55:22 K:BB in 47 innings pitched. He has been better in his time with Triple-A Syracuse, but fantasy managers should steer clear of him as a streaming option later this week against one of the hottest teams in baseball.
