Mookie Betts Activated And Starting On Monday
4 months agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers activated infielder/outfielder Mookie Betts (hand) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and designated infielder/outfielder Amed Rosario for assignment in a corresponding move. As expected, Betts is starting in right field and is batting second for the Blue in Monday's series opener against the hosting Milwaukee Brewers and right-hander Freddy Peralta. Betts is a must-roster, must-start fantasy player as one of the best all-around players in baseball, but there may be some rust to knock off since he hasn't played in a big-league game since fracturing his hand way back on June 16. The 31-year-old also didn't go on a minor-league rehab assignment. Bett's return is mostly bad news for veteran outfielder Jason Heyward. Betts has faced Peralta five times in his career and is still searching for his first against him.
