Victor Robles Remains In Leadoff Spot For Mariners
4 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles is starting in center field and will hit out of the leadoff spot again on Thursday night against the visiting Detroit Tigers. Not only has the move from the Washington Nationals all the way across the country to Seattle reinvigorated Robles, but he's been the team's leadoff hitter the last 11 games with Julio Rodriguez (ankle) currently on the 10-day injured list. The 27-year-old Dominican has looked like a different player in the Pacific Northwest through 38 games, slashing .333/.398/.495 with an .893 OPS, three home runs, six RBI, 10 stolen bases and 12 runs scored in 105 trips to the plate. Robles' playing time won't be as consistent whenever J-Rod returns from his ankle injury, but fantasy managers in deeper leagues need to continue riving the wave with Robles until that actually happens.
