Leodalis De Vries Continues To Impress
4 months agoSan Diego Padres shortstop prospect Leodalis De Vries hit his 10th home run of the season on Thursday for Single-A Lake Elsinore. At 17 years old, De Vries is the youngest player in the Single-A Cal League but he just turned in a July in which he slashed .318/.442/.694. The uber-talented youngster is hitting .235 with 10 homers, 35 RBI, and 12 stolen bases on the season. The Padres' No. 2 prospect is producing in his first taste of professional baseball. He is a long way away from being on the big-league radar but he is one of the top young outfield prospects in the minors and should only continue to improve.
