4 months agoThe Colorado Rockies are sending outfielder Charlie Condon, the third overall pick in this year's draft out of Georgia, to High-A Spokane in the Northwest League to make his professional debut. Condon was set to make his pro debut for Spokane on Tuesday as one of the top bats in this year's draft. The 21-year-old right-handed hitter should fare well in the hitter-friendly ballpark in Spokane and should rise quickly through Colorado's system in the next few years. The 6-foot-6, 216-pounder was the leading candidate to go first overall in this year's draft but slipped to No. 3. Condon has an immense offensive ceiling with elite raw power and a short swing despite his long limbs. He has experience at all three outfield positions.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
