Tyler Fitzgerald Homers In Second Consecutive Game Monday
4 months agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop/outfielder Tyler Fitzgerald continued to provide plenty of power in Monday's 4-1 win over the Nationals. Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a single and a leadoff homer. The 26-year-old got things started for the Giants, jumping on a Patrick Corbin fastball and depositing it in the left-field seats for his 12th long ball of the season. Fitzgerald had an impressive HR streak in July and has now homered in back-to-back games and three of his last four. He is now slashing .314/.373/.650 with 29 runs scored, 24 RBI, and seven stolen bases in just 153 plate appearances. It seems unlikely that he will sustain this rate of high offensive production, but Fitzgerald is providing elite fantasy output right now.
