Jose Miranda Leaves Sunday’s Game Early
3 months agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Jose Miranda (head) left Sunday's game early in the opening frame after getting hit by a pitch on the left side of his batting helmet. Evan Woodbery of the MLive Media Group reported that the 26-year-old was down on the ground for a while but was eventually able to walk off on his power. He was replaced by Austin Martin. This was a scary sight, but fortunately, Miranda was able to stand on his own and walk off the field. The infielder was recently reinstated from the injured list on Saturday after missing a few weeks due to a back injury. Miranda has enjoyed a nice post-hype breakout season this summer as he boasts an excellent .324/.364/.517 line with nine home runs and 43 RBI. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to any updates on the third baseman after Sunday's game. UPDATE: Miranda suffered a head contusion on Sunday and passed the preliminary concussion testing.
