Conrad Cason Goes To Red Sox In Eighth Round
4 months agoGreater Atlanta Christian High School (Ga.) two-way player Conrad Cason was drafted by the Boston Red Sox at pick No. 237. The Mississippi State commit is a shortstop with a big arm and plus power at the plate but he projects most favorably as a pitcher. The 17-year-old can sit in the mid-90s with his fastball with a 55-grade changeup to pair with a 50-grade slider. Cason was a four-sport star in high school and has athleticism to spare. This is a very intriguing pick for the Red Sox oozing with potential.
