Justin Armbruester Bounces Back With Strong Start On Thursday
5 months agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitching prospect Justin Armbruester bounced back with an excellent start on Thursday, July 11, where he tossed six shutout innings. He allowed just three hits and one walk and set a new season-high of 10 strikeouts. In his last start, the 25-year-old allowed six runs (three earned) and six hits. Overall, the New Mexico product has taken a step back in his progression at Triple-A this season with a hefty 7.58 ERA, and 1.55 WHIP compared to the 4.70 ERA and 1.47 WHIP he held at the same level last summer. The former 12th-round pick could make his major league debut in the second half of the season as a spot starter but may need to wait until next summer due to the significant drop in production he has had.
