4 months agoChicago White Sox shortstop prospect Colson Montgomery was 3-for-5 with three RBI for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, tying his season-high in hits and RBI for a single game. The left-handed swinging shortstop is hitting .278 with a homer and four RBI in July to raise his season batting average to .218 with 11 homers and 36 RBI. It hasn't been the best first half of the season at Triple-A for the White Sox' top overall prospect who is sporting a .714 OPS. But Montgomery has the prospect pedigree and once he starts to get hot at Charlotte, he could be looking at a call-up for the rebuilding White Sox.
