Adolis Garcia Dropped To Fifth In Batting Order
5 months agoTexas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia has been dropped to fifth in the batting order for Monday's series opener on the road in Anaheim against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Davis Daniel. Garcia got a mental break in the series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday due to his season-long slump at the plate, and he'll return on Monday a little lower in the lineup. The 31-year-old right-handed slugger hasn't had a hit in his last 10 at-bats in his last three starts and is now down to a .215/.280/.413 slash line with a .694 OPS in 85 games on the year after earning his second All-Star selection in 2023. Garcia does have 16 home runs, seven stolen bases and 44 RBI, but overall it's been a hugely disappointing season for his fantasy managers.
